The climatic health resort of Ainring lies apart from noise and traffic, and nestles on an elevation some 460 metres above sea level. It is situated in the Berchtesgadener Land region, directly on the Austrian border and 5 kilometres from the city of Salzburg. Nearby you also find the cities of Freilassing (approximately 5 km away) and the spa town of Bad Reichenhall (approximately 12 km away). Berchtesgaden lies at a distance of 30 km.
